Prime Minister Criticizes Opposition’s Motion Wording

Tunis:Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul expressed concerns over the opposition's motion, suggesting its poor wording might be why the Speaker of the House has not yet forwarded it to the government. He remarked that the motion might need refining to be more "civilized," but dismissed any theatrical aspects of the content when questioned by the media.

According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister discussed his recent lunch with ministers from the Pheu Thai Party, which he framed as an informal gathering following a morning event commemorating King Bhumibol Adulyadej's Birthday. He emphasized the importance of ministries preparing information for the upcoming no-confidence debate, ensuring the public receives comprehensive details.

Anutin, who also serves as Minister of Interior, downplayed the necessity of securing votes from Pheu Thai, citing confirmed support from the party leader and coalition partners. He noted that each member of parliament has the prerogative to decide their support, underscoring the democratic principles at play.

When asked about potential cabinet reshuffles post-debate, Anutin stated he had not considered it yet. He also addressed rumors about opposition parties using AI to craft motions, laughing off the idea and stressing the need for parliamentary debates to focus on constructive criticism beneficial to the country.

Anutin reiterated his openness to criticism and his commitment to addressing questions clearly during the debate, indicating that the cabinet as a whole, not just the Prime Minister, should be prepared to answer. He emphasized the collective responsibility of the ministers in providing logical explanations to the public.
