Bangkok:A complaint has been filed with the Crime Suppression Division to investigate the financial activities of the Good Deeds Foundation, which has been under scrutiny for the alleged misuse of donations.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Boonyanuch Saengsri, also known as "Oysri," along with legal representatives, has requested an investigation into the operations and financial transactions of the foundation, chaired by Ms. Panadda Wongphudee, or "Boom Panadda." The investigation aims to identify all individuals involved in managing donations, approving disbursements, and implementing the foundation's activities. Legal action has been requested if any wrongdoing is discovered.
The core of the investigation focuses on suspicions of misuse of public donations, which could potentially harm donors. Concerns have been raised about the use of donated funds for constructing a pool villa in Phuket, which might not align with the foundation's objectives of assisting those in need. Ms. Boonyanuch is urging that any evidence of document forgery or misuse be presented.
Furthermore, it is highlighted that for large disbursements exceeding 500,000 baht, a meeting and board approval are necessary. The investigation seeks to verify if proper procedures were followed for several transfers exceeding this amount. Questions have also been raised regarding the 50 million baht construction contract and its contractor.
Ms. Boom Panadda has expressed her intention to file a police report against those making allegations about the foundation. The ongoing investigation is being closely monitored, particularly regarding the identity of the "Last Boss," a figure speculated to have a significant role behind the scenes. Ms. Boonyanuch emphasizes that the investigation aims to clarify the facts and is not driven by personal conflicts.
