Bangkok:"Oysri," the owner of the Facebook page "Oysri and the Gang," alongside her lawyer, has taken legal steps against the Good Deeds Foundation. They visited Parliament to submit a formal request to the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO) committee, urging an investigation into the foundation's activities.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Boonyanooch Saengsri, known as "Oysri," with her legal representative, presented a letter to Mr. Pitakdet Dechdecho, a Member of Parliament for Nakhon Si Thammarat from the Democrat Party and chairman of the Committee on Prevention and Suppression of Money Laundering and Narcotics. The letter requests a probe into activities involving Boom Panadda and the "Doing Good" Foundation. Ms. Saengsri emphasized the importance of this issue for the nation, highlighting the need for improved oversight to prevent exploitation of people's suffering and the generosity of Thai citizens for personal benefit.
Oysri further criticized images that surfaced, allegedly showing large quantities of donated items, such as drinking water, household goods, and pet food, discarded like trash. She expressed that this act was an affront to the honor and dignity of Thai people. Additionally, she questioned the authenticity of Boom Panadda's charitable deeds, suggesting they might be a tactic to secure donations for personal advantage, which she deemed unjust for Thailand.
