Pak Chong: The largest animal feed factory in Asia, 'Mars Petcare', located in Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, is preparing to invest in increasing production capacity. The company aims to move forward with sustainability projects to reduce environmental impacts, supporting increased exports to help Thailand maintain its ranking among the Big 4 pet food exporters globally. According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Teeradej Kasisareewong, Manufacturing Director of Mars Pet Nutrition in Southeast Asia, revealed that the Thai pet food business continues to expand. Currently, Thailand ranks as the 4th largest pet food exporter in the world, with a complete production base and an advantage in raw materials. However, domestic competition is fierce due to the increasing number of local players and imported pet food entering the market. Mars Petcare is committed to sustainability by reducing landfill waste and increasing investment in renewable energy. This commitment reflects its strong corporate culture focused on quality, safety, innovation, and sustainability. After 25 years of investment in Thailand, the company has produced over 2,333 million kilograms of pet food, equivalent to filling more than 2,828 Olympic swimming pools, and plans to continue expanding production capacity with a focus on sustainability. Mars Petcare was a pioneer in the Thai pet food industry 25 years ago and has rapidly developed its technology and capabilities. It now produces a wide range of 65 products, including single-serve dry and wet pet foods, specialized dental care products, and healthy pet snacks for cats and dogs. The company prioritizes work safety and has received the Zero Accident Award, Silver Prize level. The factory employs over 1,400 people and contributes to the community's economic growth by creating indirect jobs for Thai businesses, with exports reaching 36 countries worldwide.
