Lampang: Plum blossoms at Suwan Farm in Mueang Pan District are starting to bloom, signaling the beginning of a picturesque season. It is anticipated that by the end of the month, the trees will be adorned with fully bloomed white blossoms, drawing tourists to the region.
According to Thai News Agency, the site at Ban Mae Chaem, Village No. 1, Chae Son Subdistrict, is emerging as a favored tourist destination, accessible via routes from Lampang and Chiang Mai Provinces. Visitors are particularly eager to experience 'Rai Suwan,' a location noted for its singular plum blossom tunnel. The area also features a Japanese-style building where guests can enjoy coffee while surrounded by the blooming plum trees. Additionally, tourists can borrow kimonos for a photo opportunity among the blossoms.
Currently, the plum trees have started to bloom with some trees showing about 70% blossoming. By the month's end, a full bloom is expected, lasting for about seven days before the flowers fall. This fleeting bloom period attracts tourists who aim to capture the trees in their full splendor, although the exact timing can vary with weather conditions each year.
Suwan Farm offers free access for tourists to visit and capture the beauty of the plum blossoms. Within the farm, a coffee shop offers local products, including Doi Mae Chaem coffee and macadamia nuts, as souvenirs for tourists to take home.
