Thaksin Leaves Cabinet Reshuffle Decisions to Prime Minister

Bangkok: Former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra has emphasized that any decisions regarding a cabinet reshuffle rest solely with the current Prime Minister. Thaksin stated that he has not considered making any changes himself, stressing that if adjustments are necessary, they should be executed comprehensively.

According to Thai News Agency, Thaksin addressed the possibility of a cabinet reshuffle during an interview, highlighting that political discussions are ongoing, particularly concerning certain administrative tasks. He noted that any hurdles encountered in governance should be discussed with the Prime Minister, who ultimately has the discretion to decide on any changes.

When questioned about the potential inclusion of the Pheu Thai Party in a reshuffle, Thaksin expressed the need for any changes to be made in a unified manner. He dismissed speculation about pushing the Bhumjaithai Party into the opposition, stating he had not contemplated such a move.

Thaksin also addressed rumors regarding the Palang Pracharath Party joining the government, acknowledging that there have been discussions but clarifying that no definitive decisions have been made. He suggested that current government figures appear satisfactory, though adjustments in positions might be considered.

Regarding the potential involvement of Phalang Pracharath Party members, Thaksin reiterated that he had no discussions about this matter, indicating that the government already has substantial support.
