Bangkok: The Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT) will waive toll fees on three expressway routes on Coronation Day, May 4, 2025.
According to Thai News Agency, the toll-free routes include the Chalerm Mahanakhon Expressway (Expressway No. 1) with 20 toll booths, the Si Rat Expressway (Expressway No. 2) with 31 toll booths, and the Udon Ratthaya Expressway (Bang Pa-in - Pak Kret) with 10 toll booths. This waiver will be effective from 00.01 to 24.00 on Coronation Day, an annual public holiday as announced by the Prime Minister's Office.
The initiative aligns with the government and Ministry of Transport policies as outlined in the amended concession agreement between EXAT, Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM), and Northern Bangkok Expressway Company Limited (NECL). The objective is to facilitate travel during holidays, reduce expenses for the public, and alleviate traffic congestion at expressway toll booths.
Easy Pass users are encouraged to register and update their information via the EXAT Portal Application or www.thaieasypass.com to upgrade their Easy Pass cards to Easy Pass Plus. For further assistance, the Expressway User Information Center (EXAT Call Center) is available at 1543, 24 hours a day.
