Narathiwat: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has issued a strong condemnation following a series of violent incidents targeting vulnerable groups in Narathiwat Province. These attacks have resulted in the tragic deaths and serious injuries of children, the elderly, and the disabled.
According to Thai News Agency, the violent events unfolded on May 2, 2025, including a horrific case in Tak Bai District where a gunman opened fire on a house, killing three people, among them an elderly man and a nine-year-old girl. Another distressing incident occurred in Chanae District, where a gunman on a motorcycle shot at a blind elderly woman and her son as they returned from the hospital. The attack resulted in the woman's death and left her son severely injured.
