After the game, Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca praised Cole Palmer's performance, saying: "The difficult times this season have made him a better player. He's a quality player and in the final third he can decide the game."

Maresca also sees this success as the starting point for building a team, saying: 'This title could be the starting point for building a 'winner'. The important thing is that this team, the youngest in the history of the Premier League, has shown consistency in 38 league games, which is incredible.'

Real Betis coach Manuel Pellegrini admitted his opponents played better in the second half. However, Pellegrini praised his team's performance throughout the season and, despite his disappointment with the result, he stressed that taking Betis to the European final was another important step for the club.
