Bangkok: Aeronautical Radio of Thailand (AeroThai) has announced a significant 30% reduction in air navigation service fees for airlines as a New Year gift for 2026. This initiative, aimed at facilitating increased travel during the holiday season, is part of a broader strategy to ensure convenient and safe travel across Thailand under the slogan “Happiness Festival, Everywhere in Thailand: Convenient and Safe Travel on the Transportation Network.”
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Surachai Nuphrom, Deputy Managing Director and Acting Managing Director of AeroThai, highlighted that the fee reduction is aligned with the Ministry of Transport’s policy. Discussions have been underway to implement measures that will enhance the safety and convenience of public travel during the New Year’s holiday season in 2026. The focus is on integrated cooperation among all transportation agencies to provide the safest possible travel experience, encompassing land, water, rail, and air travel.

hat AeroThai’s initiatives are designed to boost tourism and stimulate economic growth during the New Year period, from December 26, 2025, to January 5, 2026. It is anticipated that there will be a total of 30,420 flights, averaging 2,760 flights daily, marking a 3% increase compared to the same period in 2024. AeroThai is implementing various measures to manage the increased air traffic safely and efficiently. These measures include reducing delays, ensuring adequate staffing levels for around-the-clock air traffic control and engineering support, extending airport operating hours, providing comprehensive aviation information, and preparing emergency response strategies.
