Anutin Charnvirakul Considers Legal Action Over Fake Payment Slip Incident

Bangkok:Anutin Charnvirakul has stated that the decision to take legal action against "Ice," who allegedly shared a fake payment slip of 7 million baht, is a personal matter and will be revealed soon.

According to Thai News Agency, Anutin, who is the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, disclosed that Ms. Rakchanok Srinok, a party-list MP of the People's Party, shared the post containing the fake slip. Anutin emphasized that while it is her right to share the post, the matter will soon be clarified. He noted that the person responsible for the post is believed to be in Chonburi province and may have been influenced due to the government's numerous achievements.

Anutin assured that he has instructed the National Police Chief to expedite all investigations related to the incident. He mentioned that clear evidence is necessary for an arrest, and once found, legal action would be immediately pursued. He highlighted that regardless of attempts to delete the post, traces remain, making it impossible to erase completely. An update on the prosecution will be provided once evidence is complete and officials ensure no leniency is shown.

Anutin reiterated his personal rights concerning the matter, stating that his response, if any, would not be a mere warning but a full legal pursuit. He clarified that his focus remains on his own case and not on other potential charges. The publicity surrounding the incident, he suggested, might be due to the government's successes and contributions to the country. During the forthcoming no-confidence debate, the Prime Minister's achievements will be thoroughly explained.
