Bangkok:Anutin Charnvirakul has stated that there is no necessity to clarify remarks exchanged with Karndee Leowpairoj, emphasizing that all parties involved are simply fulfilling their responsibilities.
According to Thai News Agency, Anutin expressed that entering Parliament is a positive step and dismissed the need for any reconciliation following the exchange of insults such as "stupid, incompetent, and evil." He mentioned feeling regretful for not being able to participate in this week's no-confidence debate. Anutin reiterated that December 6th would be an opportune date for the debate, as the responsibilities of 18 ministers have been postponed to November. He further stated that if the opposition has no objections, the government is also untroubled.
During his visit to the Parliament building, Anutin greeted MPs from both opposition and government parties, including Karndee Leowpairoj of the Democrat Party. When questioned about the need for reconciliation, Anutin responded that there was nothing to reconcile, as everyone is merely doing their job.
When asked about the offensive terms, Anutin laughed and indicated that there was nothing more to discuss. He expressed disappointment that the no-confidence debate was not expedited, allowing the government to address other issues, but noted that the opposition's refusal to debate this week was not the government's fault, as they walked out of the three-party whips' meeting. Anutin stated that the government is seeking a suitable time and has informed the Speaker of the House that December 6th is available, contingent on the three-party whips' meeting and the Speaker's decision.
Regarding the potential issue of numerous holidays during the week of December 6th, Anutin stated that if the opposition does not find it problematic, the government will not either. He stressed the importance of respecting Parliament and the opposition. He also noted that if the opposition is ready, the government is prepared to engage in the debate and provide necessary clarifications, showing full respect. Anutin explained that administrative duties of all 18 ministers have been adjusted, with engagements postponed to November. Therefore, the earliest possible time for the debate is from December 6th onwards, considering the ministers' tight schedules.
