Sisaket: Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, has expressed his gratitude to the residents of Sisaket for electing Wichit Traisaranakul as the president of the provincial administrative organization for the seventh consecutive term. Wichit secured a decisive victory, winning by a landslide with 130,000 votes amidst intense competition. Anutin emphasized that the Bhumjaithai Party operates like a family and hinted at the party's future success in forming the government if they continue to secure MP seats.
According to Thai News Agency, Anutin, who also serves as the leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, traveled to Kantharalak Technical College in Sisaket Province along with Ms. Traisuree Traisaranakul, Secretary to the Minister of Interior, Mr. Pichit Traisaranakul, President of the Sisaket Provincial Administrative Organization, and other party MPs. They engaged with the local population to discuss the region's development in terms of local governance. Anutin expressed his intention to personally thank everyone for their support and trust in the leadership of Sisaket's new generation.
Anutin reflected on his long-standing relationship with Mr. Wichit, likening him to an elder sibling and mentor. He mentioned the pivotal role Wichit played when he founded the Bhumjaithai Party and expressed confidence in his leadership. Anutin also praised the dedication of Ms. Traisuree Traisaranakul, who has been a significant part of his team since his entry into government service. He acknowledged the support from General Prayut Chan-o-cha during his tenure as Prime Minister and emphasized the familial bond within the party, focusing on unity rather than competition.
Anutin highlighted the positive contributions of Sisaket's people to his political journey, mentioning the quality leadership of Mr. Thanakan Kitpaiboonchai and Mr. Siripong Angkasakulkiat, who have previously served as MPs. He assured the residents that the next election would see Sisaket represented by another capable MP, further strengthening the province's presence in parliament.
Discussing the recent election, Anutin noted that it was a challenging contest for Mr. Pichit, but his victory was a testament to the trust and support of Sisaket's people.
