Anutin Pleased with Moody’s Upgrade of Thailand’s Credit Rating

Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul, Thailand's Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, expressed satisfaction over Moody's decision to upgrade the country's credit rating outlook from "negative" to "stable," while maintaining its Baa1 rating. This change, he noted, underscores the robust fundamentals of Thailand's economy, enhancing its appeal to foreign investors.

According to Thai News Agency, Anutin addressed media inquiries about the rating update and its implications for the nation. He emphasized that the improved outlook is a testament to the country's strong economic foundations, although he acknowledged the need for continued efforts to bolster these fundamentals. Anutin also highlighted the positive impact of this development on foreign investment and international confidence, which he believes will extend across all sectors of the Thai economy.
