Arsit Highlights Cooperation Between Interior Ministry and DSI

Bangkok: "Arsit" emphasizes that the Interior Ministry and DSI can work together without conflict. Mr. Arsit Sampantharat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, addressed concerns about the collaboration between the Ministry of Interior and the Department of Special Investigation (DSI), stating that both entities can function without conflict.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Arsit discussed a recent incident involving Mr. Narong Thepsena, Governor of Amnat Charoen Province, who had sent a confidential and urgent letter to Mr. Arsit. The letter reported a group of individuals claiming to be DSI officers visiting the province. Mr. Arsit confirmed that no further incidents had been reported in other provinces. He assured that all sectors were actively monitoring the situation to prevent public fear and emphasized that the Ministry and DSI were united in their efforts, stressing that they are ready to support each other.

In response to inquiries about the demand for the dismissal of Mr. Siradanai Plaiduang, also known as Golf, a Provincial Administrative Organization member involved in an assault incident on election day in Songkhla Province, Mr. Arsit stated he had not received any report on this matter. Concluding his remarks, he politely excused himself from the media, signaling the end of the interview.
