BAAC launches special savings deposit project ‘Green Deposit’ on the occasion of the bank’s 59th anniversary, accepting a total deposit of 10 billion baht, with a 5-month deposit period and a return of up to 2.11 percent per year. Open for reservations from Oct 25 – Nov 4 at all BAAC branches nationwide.
Mr. Chatchai Sirilai, Manager of the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC), said that in order to promote savings for the public and farmers on the occasion of the 59th anniversary of the establishment of BAAC on November 1, 2024, BAAC has launched the ‘Green Deposit’ product, a short-term special savings deposit project with a total deposit of 10 billion baht, which provides an interest rate of up to 2.11 percent per year, with a deposit period of 5 months (counted from the deposit date on the same day as the day before the deposit date), a minimum deposit of 10,000 baht per time, and a maximum of 100 million baht per account. Individuals do not pay tax on the Green Deposit interest. In
the event that depositors withdraw some money or close the account before the due date, the bank will pay interest according to the conditions set by the bank.
For those who are interested, you can contact any BAAC branch nationwide to reserve your right to deposit money from October 25 – November 4, 2024 and open an account at the branch you have requested to deposit money from November 1 – 4, 2024. However, if between November 1 – 4, those who have reserved their right to deposit money have not opened a deposit account for the full amount of 10,000 million baht, the bank will open for deposits to the general public from November 5 – 11, 2024 or until the bank announces that it will close the deposit when the limit is full.
