Bangkok: The Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC) has launched an "Organic City Market" event to cater to health-conscious consumers and organic product enthusiasts. Scheduled from September 24th to 26th, the market features over 60 vendors offering high-quality, locally sourced organic agricultural products. These products, free of pesticides and chemicals, are directly delivered from farmers to consumers, ensuring safety and nutritional benefits. The market is taking place in front of the BAAC headquarters in Bangkok.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Paisarn Hongthong, Deputy Managing Director of BAAC, highlighted that the "Organic in the City" market aims to provide a platform for farmers, BAAC customers, and community enterprise groups. The event showcases a variety of organic products, including certified organic vegetables, fruits, and processed items from farmers across the nation. Featured vendors include Parichat Garden from Pathum Thani Province, offering seasonal fruits, and Nadee Organic Farm, providing fresh organic vegetables like green oak and curly kale.
Phumjai Jearanai Garden from Ratchaburi presents organic herbs known for their health benefits, while Apuds-Aroma Bangkok offers natural products for sustainable personal care. The market also includes a local food zone with traditional flavors such as Khun Duck's Nong Dae Udon Duck Salad from Udon Thani Province and Krua Muranee Khao Mok Gai from Narathiwat Province, known for its authentic Halal recipe.
The homemade beverages and dessert zone features unique offerings like Tham Rong Community Waterworks' three-flavored juice and Mulberry Farm's low-fat mulberry yogurt ice cream. Idin Rice Ice Cream provides a variety of flavors with a fragrant rice aroma. Additionally, the market offers clothing and accessories made from cotton pearls in Phang Nga Province and quality jewelry from Jinda Phithak in Kanchanaburi Province.
Visitors to the event can enjoy a special promotion by following the BAAC Farmers Market Facebook page and sharing a post to receive a free bar of Phaya Wan soap, limited to 200 bars per day. Purchases totaling 299 baht or more at the event or via the Nong Hom Jang app grant access to a coaster painting activity. The market operates from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a unique opportunity to explore and purchase organic products.
