Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited was honored as an 'Organization that Benefits Persons with Disabilities' for 2024 by the Senate Committee on Social Development and Children, Youth, Women, the Elderly, the Disabled and the Disadvantaged. Mr. Apiwat Punnopakorn, Executive Vice President of Public Relations, and Mr. Suchat Suchamongkolkul, Executive Vice President of Labor Relations, represented Bangkok Bank in receiving certificates of honor as a model organization that places importance on promoting, supporting, and creating value for people with disabilities from Mr. Wallop Tangkhananurak, Chairman of the Committee on Social Development, recently at the Parliament Building, Bangkok. The International Foundation for the Disabled has proposed Bangkok Bank to the Senate Committee on Social Development this time because Bangkok Bank, as a 'Friend and Partner', has continuously supported training, knowledge transfer, and vocational skills training for the visually impaired, such as the 'Development of Know ledge in Transactions for Cooperative Members and the Generally Blind' project in 2019, the 'Fin Lit for the Blind' project in collaboration with the Thai Blind Foundation to create a financial transaction manual for the visually impaired in 2021, and the project to provide financial knowledge to the visually impaired who use the services of the Blind Cooperative of Thailand under the 'Happy Retirement' project in 2023, which is one of the Bank's commitments to provide financial knowledge to all groups of people equally and universally. In addition, Bangkok Bank also places importance on the needs and feedbacks of all customer groups. The visually impaired have joined in testing the 'Bangkok Bank Mobile Banking' to develop and adjust the interface to suit the needs of the visually impaired. Source: Thai News Agency
