Bangkok Governor Cycles to Vote, Confident in City’s Election Readiness

Bangkok: Mr. Chatchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, cycled to his polling station at 8:00 AM to cast his vote at Jamchan School, Khlong Tan Nuea Subdistrict, Watthana District. Before voting, he expressed confidence in Bangkok's preparedness for the election, having visited several polling stations where procedures were smoothly executed.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chatchart noted that polling officials had been preparing since the previous day, ensuring all stations were ready to accommodate voters. He mentioned that the only potential issue could be afternoon rain, as forecasted by weather reports. Advance voting ballots from overseas and outside the district have been delivered to all polling stations, providing reassurance to the public.

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has established an election coordination center, led by the Permanent Secretary of Bangkok, with six Deputy Governors on standby to address any reported issues. Tonight, large screens will be set up at Bangkok City Hall, Sao Chingcha, to display unofficial vote counts, allowing the public to track the election results.

Mr. Chatchart highlighted the diligent efforts of BMA officials to conduct the election with integrity and transparency. He urged eligible voters to participate and exercise their democratic rights in this important election.
