Bangkok Governor Emphasizes Meaning Over Touch in Children’s Day Slogan

Bangkok: The Bangkok Governor emphasized that the Children's Day slogan focuses on meaning rather than tactile sensations. The Bangkok Governor reiterated the Children's Day slogan for 2026, emphasizing "meaning" over "touch," aiming for Thai children to never give up on their dreams.

According to Thai News Agency, Bangkok Governor Chatchart Sittipunt addressed the criticism circulating on social media regarding the 2026 Children's Day slogan: "Even if the head is stubborn with knowledge, even if the ears spit out slogans, don't give up on your dreams, create your life in your own way." Mr. Chatchart admitted he may not be an expert in poetic meter, but asked the public to focus on the core message. He stated that he wants children to be happy on the paths they choose and to dare to pursue their dreams. Dreams can change with age, but the important thing is not to give up on them and to reach their goals in their own way.

For this year's Children's Day celebrations, Bangkok will continue to hold activities as usual in various areas, such as the Bangkok Youth Center (Thai-Japanese), both Bangkok Children's Museums, and Bangkok libraries. However, we apologize that the "sitting in the Governor's chair" activity will not be held due to ongoing renovations to the office.
