Bangkok: Bhumjaithai Party spokesperson confirmed that the party has not received any notification regarding a cabinet reshuffle. No proposals or conditions have been made, and no leaders from the Pheu Thai Party have coordinated with them. Information was only obtained from the party leader.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Nan Bunthida Somchai, spokesperson for the Bhumjaithai Party, stated that Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, has not been informed by the Prime Minister about any cabinet reshuffle. Additionally, no core members of the Pheu Thai Party have coordinated with the Bhumjaithai Party leader. Therefore, any news linking the Bhumjaithai Party to a cabinet reshuffle is false. The Bhumjaithai Party has not imposed any conditions on the Prime Minister or the Pheu Thai Party regarding the cabinet reshuffle.
The spokesperson emphasized that the Bhumjaithai Party respects the agreement on the formation of the government. The Prime Minister, as the leader of the Pheu Thai Party, has already assigned duties and responsibilities to the political parties in the government. The Bhumjaithai Party has adhered to these agreements and maintained cooperative relations.
The spokesperson reiterated that the Bhumjaithai Party leader has always acknowledged that the authority to adjust the cabinet lies solely with the Prime Minister. As of June 4, 2025, the Prime Minister has not informed them of any intention to adjust the cabinet, so the Bhumjaithai Party has not considered the matter.
Furthermore, the Bhumjaithai Party spokesperson mentioned that the party has authorized only the leader and the secretary to coordinate government formation and propose political office holders. This decision follows the Bhumjaithai Party regulations, and no core members have been authorized to negotiate cabinet adjustments with other political parties. Thus, any news suggesting negotiations have taken place is unfounded and not a party resolution.
The spokesperson concluded by reiterating that the Bhumjaithai Party has not negotiated or offered conditions to the Prime Minister and the Pheu Thai Party. Any changes to the government's formation will be announced by the party leader.
