Bangkok: A spokesperson for the Bhumjaithai Party denied reports that "Bhumjaithai rejected the Pheu Thai Party's list of ministers," clarifying that party leader Anutin had previously stated that the Election Commission must certify all MPs before any further action could be taken.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Nan Bunthida Somchai, spokesperson for the Bhumjaithai Party and MP for Ubon Ratchathani Province, revealed that reports regarding ministerial quotas from the Pheu Thai Party, including claims of rejecting ministerial nominees and requesting younger ministers, and specific ministerial positions, are completely untrue. She stated that party leader Anutin Charnvirakul has reiterated the party's stance that government formation will only occur after the Election Commission (EC) officially certifies all parliamentary results and the political situation stabilizes. She denied rumors of pre-arranged deals and affirmed that everything must proceed according to legal procedures and mechanisms.
