BM-21 Missile Crash Intensifies Tension at Sa Kaeo Border

Sa kaeo: The situation along the Thai-Cambodian border in Sa Kaeo province, particularly in Ta Phraya district, remains highly tense. Most recently, in the early hours of December 25, 2025, around 5:00 AM, a BM-21 rocket from Cambodia landed in Thai territory, causing damage to homes.

According to Thai News Agency, reports from the area indicate that BM-21 rounds landed in the Thap Sadet sub-district, Ta Phraya district, Sa Kaeo province, severely damaging the house of a former village headman. The house was completely destroyed. Initially, there were no reports of fatalities or injuries, but the incident caused considerable panic among the local residents.

This incident is another example of the ongoing violence along the Ta Phraya border, following previous reports of clashes and heavy weaponry from the Cambodian side, forcing residents in several areas to evacuate their homes for safety.

Security agencies and community leaders in the area have issued warnings to residents living along the border, urging them to closely monitor public announcements from community leaders and officials and to strictly follow instructions for their safety and property protection.
