Body of Helicopter Crash Victim Arrives in Trang Province

Trang: The body of Police Lieutenant Songphon Boonchai, a pilot from the Police Aviation Division, has arrived in Trang Province, where it was received by his grieving family for religious rites. The tragic incident occurred due to a helicopter crash in Mueang District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.

According to Thai News Agency, the body was received today at Trang Airport by Songphon's parents and relatives. The somber moment was marked by the presence of his girlfriend, who disembarked from the plane holding a photograph of the late pilot. A highway police car then transported the body to Trang Hospital, where it will remain for three days before the commencement of funeral rites.

The funeral rites for Pol. Lt. Songphon will be conducted from May 29 to June 4 at Wat Khlong Nam Chet, located in Tambon Thap Thiang, Mueang Trang District. The royal cremation ceremony is scheduled for June 5. Songphon, who was 34 years old, was the youngest of five siblings. He was known to be a well-behaved and good-natured individual, who was deeply loved by his friends and family. Despite not having started his own family, he was a cherished member of his community, returning to Trang Province once a year.
