After being absent from the entertainment industry for over five years, talented actress and director Boom Ranya, 57, revealed that she felt like she had her heart broken after being rejected by a famous drama company after being asked to direct two dramas, only to be heartlessly rejected. Having been in the entertainment industry for over 35 years, she has acted in over 130 dramas, 20 films, and directed as many as 14. She admitted that she felt sad and regretful, to the point of being extremely annoyed that she had done something wrong or that she wasn't skilled enough to be rejected for two jobs in a row.
According to Thai News Agency, this led her to disappear from the entertainment industry for five full years, to live a simple life with her girlfriend in Lamphun Province, allowing love and nature to heal her soul. She recently attended a pre-production ceremony for the horror film "Confessions of a Ghost Doctor," a viral hit from the show "Ghost Radio," which has been listened to over 6 million times. Directed by Ton Chalalampee, the film stars a cast including Alek Teeradej, Shakrit Yamnam, Am Ammarin, and many more.
Boom Ranya reiterated that she was only taking on small roles before making a heartbreaking announcement via Nine Entertain's microphone. After disappearing and living a simple life for over five years, she has finally decided to retire from the entertainment industry permanently. She has done everything she can in the past 35 years and doesn't know what else to do.
