Bang bua thong: Three courageous women confronted a thief who attempted to steal a necklace from a 73-year-old grandmother, leading to a chaotic sequence of events that unfolded in front of the elderly woman's house. The confrontation resulted in the thief's motorcycle toppling over, although the suspect managed to escape.

According to Thai News Agency, the incident involved a mother and daughter who, upon witnessing the attack, immediately intervened. They, along with the elderly victim's daughter, took quick action against the stout thief. The thief, who had parked his motorcycle to commit the crime, was taken by surprise when the women began to punch him repeatedly. Despite being threatened with a knife, the women remained undeterred until the thief managed to flee. The entire episode, which took place yesterday morning in a village in Bang Rak Pattana Subdistrict, was captured on CCTV. The elderly victim, Mrs. Cheng, suffered neck injuries and was promptly taken to the hospital by her daughter.

Police from Bang Bua Thong Police Station responded to the scene and spoke with Ms. Pichathorn, a 29-year-old good Samaritan involved in the altercation. She recounted how she and her mother were en route to buy groceries when they noticed the elderly woman falling, with the thief standing nearby. Upon hearing cries for help and realizing a theft was in progress, they decided to intervene, managing to land several blows on the suspect. Despite the thief's attempt to intimidate them with a knife, Ms. Pichathorn was motivated solely by the need to assist the elderly victim.

The daughter of the elderly woman voiced her concerns about the thief's escape and expressed her desire for swift police action, as she deems the criminal a danger to the community. A neighbor echoed these sentiments, highlighting the frequent burglaries in the area and urging the authorities to enhance their vigilance and increase patrols to ensure neighborhood safety.
