Mrs. Radklao Inthawong Suwankiri, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s Office, announced that in 2023, there will be more than 1.61 million Russian tourists traveling to Thailand, which is the number one tourist destination from the European region. and is the 5th highest number of all foreign tourists entering Thailand. Thailand has a total income of 84,666 million baht from Russian tourists. If we go back to December 13, 2005, Thailand and Russia signed an agreement on exemption from visas for ordinary passports together. As a result, Thai and Russian ordinary passport holders can travel between each other and stay in the country for no more than 30 days without having to apply for a visa.
