Bangkok: Police Station summoned the owner of the catering service and staff for questioning regarding the controversial dinner party in the NICU (Neo-Community Intensive Care Unit) of Ang Thong Hospital. The staff insisted they set up the food as part of their duties and that no one touched the infant incubators.
According to Thai News Agency, police at Sam Ko Police Station have summoned the catering business owner and staff for questioning to gather evidence and investigate whether any actions constitute negligence or affect hygiene and medical equipment, potentially leading to the death of the 5-day-old infant.
The staff confirmed that they placed the food as part of their duty and that no one touched the infant incubator. The police will submit the investigation results to the Medical Council for further consideration.
While the mother of the 5-day-old child who died insists she doesn't blame the hospital, she wants the staff who were there that day to admit the truth. Tomorrow (July 31), the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Health is scheduled to announce the results of the investigation into this matter.
