Bangkok: "Chaiwut and Jetsada" have expressed their excitement over the enthusiastic response from Bangkok fans eager to join their dance group. Simultaneously, they have criticized the recurring crane collapse incident, urging those accountable to take responsibility beyond offering condolences.
According to Thai News Agency, the Rak Chart Party, led by party leader and prime ministerial candidate Mr. Chaiwut Thanakamanusorn, alongside prime ministerial candidate Mr. Jetsada Tonawanik and the party's parliamentary candidates, campaigned across Athletes' Village Park, Hua Mak Health Park, and Bangkok Kreetha Housing Estate Market. The campaign was well-received by vendors and residents, with many recognizing the team from news reports and social media videos. As the team engaged with the community, some residents who were not initially present rushed to join the festivities, taking photos and participating in the trending New Year's dance moves.
A notable moment during the campaign was when Mr. Chaiwut joined "Mae Iew," a cheerful market vendor, in a dance routine. This interaction highlighted the approachable nature of the Rak Chart Party candidates. Mr. Chaiwut expressed gratitude for the youth's interest in politics, encouraging them to anticipate a new song and video from the party soon.
Mr. Jetsada, addressing the recurring crane collapse incidents, highlighted the ongoing issues on Rama 2 Road, including the State Audit Office building collapse. He criticized the lack of accountability and enforcement of legal measures, attributing the incidents to negligence, corruption, and cronyism. Mr. Jetsada called for decisive action to prevent such occurrences, emphasizing the importance of accountability and punishment for those responsible.
"We can express our condolences, but what cannot be neglected is accountability," Mr. Jetsada stated. He stressed the need for punishment of officials and contractors responsible for the incidents and protection for public witnesses, to prevent future accidents of this nature in the country.
