Chaiyanok Engages in Preliminary Talks with Pai Lik About Government Role

Bangkok: "Chaiyanok" has confirmed initial discussions with "Pai Lik" regarding joining the government, emphasizing that these talks are without any preconditions. He advised waiting for further dialogue between leaders "Anutin" and "Thammanat" before a joint press conference is held. The possibility of collaboration with Kla Tham remains open.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chaiyanok Chidchob, Secretary-General of the Bhumjaithai Party, addressed comments made by Mr. Pai Lik, Secretary-General of the Kla Tham Party, regarding their recent phone conversation. Mr. Chaiyanok acknowledged the brief nature of their exchange and suggested that the leaders of both parties should engage in further discussions before any formal announcement is made.

Mr. Chaiyanok clarified that the discussions were preliminary and reiterated the need for further developments before any decisions could be made. He noted that Captain Thamanat Promphao of the Kla Tham Party is expected to have a conversation with Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, the Bhumjaithai Party leader, which would precede any official statement.

Additionally, Mr. Chaiyanok confirmed that Mr. Pai indicated the Kla Tham Party has not set any conditions for joining the government. He advised waiting for an official announcement to confirm any specifics.

In response to inquiries about potential ministerial positions, particularly rumors regarding his appointment as Minister of Interior, Mr. Chaiyanok stated that no discussions on such matters have taken place. He emphasized that no positions will be confirmed until election results are finalized and urged patience until an official statement is issued.

Mr. Chaiyanok also mentioned that further talks with the Kla Tham Party are contingent on the meeting between Captain Thamanat and Mr. Anutin.
