Chinese National to Appear in Pattaya Court Over Weapon Cache Discovery

Pattaya: Authorities are preparing to detain a Chinese man found with an arsenal of weapons and will bring him before the Pattaya Provincial Court. Police are preparing to take 31-year-old Mingchen Sun to Pattaya Provincial Court for remand after he overturned his car in Sattahip, leading police to find a firearm and magazines in the trunk. A subsequent search of his residence uncovered a large quantity of military-grade weapons and explosives.

Initial findings indicate that the suspect suffers from depression and has a particular fondness for weapons. Some of the seized firearms were police weapons, purchased through a welfare program and subsequently pawned to fellow officers. The explosives were found to be unusable. Whether there was a plan to commit further attacks is currently under investigation.
