Chompoo Araya’s Heartfelt Response to Southern Floods and Success of Jay Kae’s T-Shirt Project

Bangkok: It's a heavy feeling in the heart for mother of three, Chompoo Araya A. Hargate, after hearing the news of the massive southern floods that caused more damage and loss than expected. She has donated 1 million baht through the Good Organization Foundation to help those affected.

According to Thai News Agency, Chompoo and her daughter, Abigail, attended an event together, spreading joy. Chompoo revealed that, like everyone else, she consumed news about the flooding in the South and felt helpless. She didn't know how to help. "We've been following the news continuously until we reached a point where we couldn't anymore. We had to take a break," she said. "We see this as a natural disaster, because nature is the greatest." When she donated through the Dr. Boom Panadda Wongphudee Foundation, she asked what was missing, wanting to provide immediate assistance. For volunteers, it was about fuel and transportation. On the most pressing day, when people were trapped in their homes and unable to get out, assistance poured in, providing relief bags. However, she felt she wanted to play a part in helping people get out, because this was the thing that touched her the most. It's like something out of a movie, but it's real life.

Many praised Chompoo for her constant support throughout every crisis. First, she felt she couldn't do anything else. When she donated to Boom, she was told not to come to the area. She refused to go because she still had commitments, children, and a family. Therefore, she wanted to do her part in supporting those who were sacrificing. Her husband, Nott Wisarut, contacted her and asked for light bulbs, so she offered them. Her grandmother (mother-in-law) also helped coordinate assistance. Now, it's all about recovery. The worst is over, and she still sympathizes with those affected. Although the loss is quite severe, life must go on. As someone who consumes the news, Chompoo feels a heavy burden inside. Although she can never fully understand their feelings, she never will. She herself is a source of strength. This year, she's faced several crises. When things didn't work out, we fought amongst ourselves. But when we faced a crisis, we helped each other out.

The popularity of 'Jay Gale' continues to grow. Recently, she released the ABIGAIL OVERSIZE T-VINTAGE shirt in collaboration with 'Father Nott's' coffee shop. The box set included the shirt, keychain, and stickers. Orders were both pre-ordered and purchased in-store. The response was so good that it sold out. Chompoo revealed that she wasn't involved much with the project because it was a collaboration with her father's coffee shop. She didn't expect much so she didn't produce a lot. She understood that the price was the same, but Phi Nott explained that the cost was really high and it was difficult to make, especially screen printing one piece at a time. She wasn't sure how many were produced, but they were all sold out. As for whether or not there will be more, we'll have to wait and see. As for 'Jay Gale,' who was standing next to her, when asked if the shirts were pretty, she nodded vigorously. The superstar mom continued by saying that she doesn't know what got her husband into selling the shirts. It mig ht be because they all love wearing band shirts, and that her father likes to steal her shirts. The faces she chose for the shirts were taken by herself, and she didn't dare use other people's photos for fear of copyright infringement. She also revealed that there might be a project to make shirts of her twin brothers, Saifah and Payu, for sale. She ended by saying, Congratulations to those who ordered online and those who lined up to buy in-store. Show off your purchases and show off to everyone.
