Chulaphan Amornvivat Directs Preparation of Over 58,000 Job Vacancies for Nationwide Job Seekers

Bangkok: Minister Chulaphan Amornvivat has directed the Department of Employment to prepare over 58,000 job openings to accommodate job seekers nationwide. It is expected that an additional 24,000 positions will be filled between May and June 2026.

According to Thai News Agency, Chulaphan Amornvivat, Minister of Labour, emphasized that the Ministry of Labour prioritizes promoting employment, jobs, and income for people of all ages. The department has been instructed to prepare job vacancies across various sectors, including manufacturing, wholesale and retail, accommodation and restaurant services, science and academic professions, and transportation. In the first half of the 2026 fiscal year, over 130,000 people were placed in jobs, generating over 16,355 million baht in income. An additional 24,000 jobs are expected to be filled in May-June 2026, contributing over 2,911 million baht in annual income.

The platform has compiled over 200,000 job openings nationwide, catering to all educational qualifications from high school to bachelor's degrees. This service is available to the unemployed, recent graduates, senior citizens, vulnerable groups, and anyone seeking employment. The top five most in-demand job positions are production staff, sales staff/product demonstrators, office staff, advertising sales staff, and warehouse staff.

Director-General of the Department of Employment, Mr. Somchai Morakotsriwan, stated that individuals can use online job search services on the "Thai Has Jobs" platform at the website "ThaiHasJobs.doe.go.th" or the "ThaiHasJobs" application. These services allow users to search for suitable job positions by matching them with location, place of residence, and skills and abilities, free of charge. Additionally, those interested in freelance work can use the "Freelance Workers" platform at "Freelance Workers.doe.go.th" or the application to showcase their skills and connect with employers.

For those seeking employment or interested in self-employment in the provinces, events such as 'Job Fair @ Surin: Good Jobs in Your Hometown' on May 22-23, 2026, and 'Job Fair 2026 @ Songkhla' on June 26-27, 2026, will provide opportunities for job seekers to apply for jobs, meet with employers, and receive career counseling.
