Chulaphan Criticizes Parties for Lack of Policy Proposals and Conflict Focus

Chiang mai: "Chulaphan" criticizes some parties for not proposing policies and only creating conflict. He affirmed that the Pheu Thai party will move forward in combating drug trafficking, scammers, illicit funds, and corruption, and insisted that he will not claim to be the only good person or point fingers at others.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chulaphan Amornvivat, leader of the Pheu Thai Party and the party's prime ministerial candidate, stated during a speech at Maejo University in San Sai District, Chiang Mai, regarding the "Millionaire" policy. He explained that many political parties fear this policy because they perceive it as a handout, but in reality, it's an investment. Nine people will be selected daily by lottery, each required to provide complete information to the government. This data will be used to manage resources effectively, generating hundreds of billions of baht in tax revenue to further assist the public. This is considered a step towards creating a new digital government to comprehensively solve people's problems. He added that the Pheu Thai Party is ready to push forward beneficial policies and solutions for the people. The opportunity is in the hands of the voters on February 8, 2026, which will be the final decision on the direction Thailand will take.

Mr. Chulaphan stated that many political parties do not present policies but primarily focus on conflict. He emphasized that the Pheu Thai Party firmly opposes drugs and scammers, and will crack down on them severely. Regarding shady dealings and corruption, the Pheu Thai Party also rejects them. He stressed that what the Pheu Thai Party proposes is not just empty words.

"On a political stage, no politician would sit there and tell the public, 'I'm a drug dealer, or a morally ambiguous person,' because everyone would look good. But today, words aren't enough. Some people point fingers at others, accusing them of being morally ambiguous, and two of them have already been arrested by the police. I'm not blaming them, because you can't judge a book by its cover. You meet a candidate you don't know their parents, you only know them when they come to register. So I don't blame anyone. Mistakes can happen. But saying that one person is perfect, better than everyone else, is something the Pheu Thai party doesn't do. We've never said we're gods, but we are citizens and ordinary people like everyone else; we make mistakes, we eat, we defecate, we have sex, we urinate, just like everyone else."

Mr. Chulaphan further stated that today, the Pheu Thai Party is not pointing fingers at others about who is good or bad. Instead, it is the people's time to decide in this election, based on policies and what they will receive. However, the Pheu Thai Party is committed to fully addressing corruption, illicit funds, and drug trafficking. The important thing is not to stand here and claim to be good, but to build a digital system. This is what Pheu Thai is doing: using AI to analyze government data to monitor corruption in various areas. In the past, relying on people to catch corruption was unsuccessful. Today is the era of technology, and Pheu Thai will create a system that does not facilitate corruption. Our intention is clear; there is no gray area, no black area. We must create a system to solve the problem, which is what Pheu Thai proposes and what sets us apart from other political parties. We don't just talk; we create mechanisms for the people.

Today, I am happy to meet many of you again and to recognize many faces. Today is a good opportunity to move forward with the Pheu Thai Party government. We will have a Prime Minister who is a native of Chiang Mai, a party leader, and key government leaders from the Pheu Thai Party. I am proud of this position because our first party leader, who we were with since the Thai Rak Thai Party, was Mr. Thaksin Shinawatra, the former Prime Minister. Today, I have the opportunity to take over as party leader. Would you like to have a Prime Minister who knows everything about Chiang Mai, and a cabinet and party leader who are long-time MPs from Chiang Mai and understand all your problems? The Pheu Thai Party will not abandon you; we will listen. We will be open to your thoughts, feelings, problems, and the lives of all of you, and we are ready to work diligently to solve the problems of all citizens. Today, make your decision and please vote for the Pheu Thai Party with both ballots. Please move forward and vote for t he Pheu Thai Party, both the candidate and the party.
