Bangkok: "Chusak" assigns Director of the Office of the Basic Education Commission to discuss preventive measures after the Rai Khing Temple incident, ordering a thorough investigation after there were calls to expand to other temples as well.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chusak Sirinil, Minister to the Prime Minister's Office and supervisor of the National Office of Buddhism (NOB), discussed the recent meeting with the Sangha Supreme Council (SSC) regarding preventive measures following the Wat Rai Khing incident. Mr. Chusak has tasked the director of NOB with discussing these measures with the SSC to ensure similar incidents are prevented in the future.
The discussion also addressed calls to extend investigations to additional temples, building upon the Wat Rai Khing case. Mr. Chusak confirmed that a detailed investigation policy has already been established and communicated to the director of NOB.
When questioned about the proactive role of the Dhammakaya, Mr. Chusak affirmed that the organization must go beyond ceremonial duties to achieve effective oversight and prevention.
