According to Thai News Agency, it started last night, the Orange Line electric train project from Bang Khun Non to Thailand Cultural Center, closing the bridge over Ratchawithi intersection for 3 years for demolition to construct Ratchawithi station, starting from 10:00 PM on January 17th until April 30th, 2028. During the traffic diversion period, road users can only travel on the flat road on Phetchaburi Road, both inbound and outbound, with 2 lanes on each side.
Last night, traffic was heavy, but this morning, both inbound and outbound traffic is smooth. Business operators in the area of the Ratchawithi Intersection Bridge said that they were mainly affected by dust, traffic jams, and difficulty getting customers to their destinations, but they are still fighting and helping to finish the project as scheduled.
