Liverpool:London Cole Palmer has been banned for the matches against Liverpool and Manchester United. Cole Palmer will be suspended for Chelsea's Carabao Cup away game against Liverpool and will return for the Premier League match at home against Manchester United.
According to Thai News Agency, Cole Palmer, Chelsea's key attacking player, was recently sent off in the Premier League match where they lost 0-2 at home to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, October 24, 2026.
However, he will not be banned for the next league game at home against Manchester United on Saturday, October 31st, but will instead be suspended for the Carabao Cup game away at Liverpool on Wednesday, October 28th.
The reason is that in English professional football, receiving a red card, whether a straight red or two yellow cards, results in a suspension across all competitions. This is different from accumulating a quota of yellow cards, which only affects the competition in which the yellow card count was reached, not the competition itself.
