Bangkok: Yokyak Chernyim, the well-known comedian, has announced significant improvement in his health following a cardiac ablation procedure to address his irregular heartbeat. He has been released from the hospital and is on the path to recovery.
According to Thai News Agency, Yokyak, aged 45, has been suffering from arrhythmia since mid-2025. The condition, characterized by abnormal electrical activity in the heart, required treatment through cardiac ablation, as recommended by his doctors.
Despite recently being discharged, Yokyak participated in the parliamentary elections and the referendum on the new constitution. He emphasized the importance of voting, stating, "Today I was discharged from the hospital. No matter how sick I am, I have to come and exercise my right to vote."
