According to Thai News Agency, throughout the afternoon, people continued to arrive and occupy spaces along the sidewalks and median strips on the exit side towards Henri Dunant Street to witness the royal funeral procession of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavadi, Krom Luang Rajasarinisiripatchara Mahavajrarajathida, from Chulalongkorn Hospital to Phiman Rattaya Throne Hall in the Grand Palace.
Officials have laid out over 500 mats on both sides of the sidewalks along the route the royal procession will take, from Chulalongkorn Hospital to the exit on Henri Dunant Street, which turns left onto Rama IV Road, to facilitate the public paying their respects. They are also providing food, snacks, water, and inhalers to those who have been waiting for a long time in the hot and humid conditions, but no one is discouraged.
Mrs. Sutin Premjai, 77 years old, arrived early in the morning, determined to bid farewell to His Majesty for the last time. She was undeterred by the heat and the possibility of rain. She shared her deeply moving story, unable to hold back tears, about the opportunity to wait for His Majesty at the National Theatre. She described His Majesty as kind and approachable to the people. She admitted that from now on, she can only cherish the memories and look at His Majesty's portrait to ease her longing.
