According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chaichana Dechdecho, Deputy Leader of the Democrat Party in charge of the Southern region, along with Mr. Kanch Tangpong, candidate for Member of Parliament in Trang Constituency 4, number 2, campaigned for support from the people in the Sikao Subdistrict Municipality and the evening market in front of the Sikao District Office. Along the way, people came out to welcome them with hugs and words of encouragement.
Mr. Chaichana stated that during his campaign in Constituency 4 today, many people showed support for the Democrat Party, party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva, and Mr. Kanchana to be elected as an MP for a second term. Constituency 4 comprises agricultural areas, factories, and tourist attractions such as Pak Meng Beach. During this campaign, the Democrat Party emphasized its support and promotion of tourism in Trang Province, located on the Andaman coast and attracting millions of tourists annually. Meanwhile, Mr. Kanch stated that, thanks to the leadership of Mr. Abhisit Vejjajiva and the new team of party executives, who possess knowledge, ability, and a clear ideology to develop the party and Thailand sustainably, the Democrat Party has received a very positive response from the people of the South, especially in Constituency 4 of Trang Province, which comprises Kantang District, Sikao District, and four sub-districts of Yan Ta Khaw District. He expressed satisfaction that those who had previously considered other parties now recognize the Democrat Party as a long-standing and established institution, standing alongside the people of the South and everyone else, and are willing to rejoin the party's ideology. He added that during his visits to all three districts, he witnessed people lining up to welcome him at their homes, and he believes the party's momentum will overcome any perceived weaknesses.
