Hat yai: The Department of Natural Resources is taking action to restore the disrupted water supply system in Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province. The initiative aims to expedite the provision of potable water to the public, ensuring their access to this essential resource at the earliest opportunity.
According to Thai News Agency, the Regional Water Resources Office 8 is actively participating in the recovery efforts by coordinating with the Provincial Waterworks Authority and other relevant agencies. A set of urgent measures has been outlined, including comprehensive surveys of water supply system equipment and infrastructure, inspections of water pumps, production systems, and water distribution pipes in the most affected communities. The office is also providing technical support and deploying machinery, equipment, and specialized personnel to facilitate the repair of the entire water production system.
In collaboration with local agencies, efforts are being made to accelerate the distribution of water reserves to the public. This initiative is crucial in enabling residents to regain access to potable water as quickly as possible. It is anticipated that the tap water supply will be fully restored to the people of Hat Yai within 24 hours after the completion of system repairs.
