Bangkok:Deputy Prime Minister Songsak Thongsri addressed speculation about Thammanat Phromphao's watch engraved with the Prime Minister's name.
According to Thai News Agency, Songsak deflected questions regarding Thammanat's watch, dismissing it as a rumor amid speculation that the Kla Tham Party might join the government.
He explained that he relies on media reports and has not heard of any real discussions about the Bhumjaithai Party bringing Kla Tham into the government. Songsak acknowledged the image of Captain Thammanat wearing a watch with Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul's name but emphasized that political rotations are normal and not a cause for concern.
Songsak stated that questions about the significance of the watch should be directed to Captain Thammanat. Similarly, any inquiries about a potential cabinet reshuffle should be addressed to the Prime Minister.
