Diesel Prices Surge by 3.50 Baht Amid Subsidy Cut

Bangkok: Diesel prices are set to rise by another 3.50 baht per liter tomorrow, reaching a new high of 47.74 baht per liter. The increase follows the latest adjustments announced by the Fuel Fund Committee (FFC).

According to Thai News Agency, the FFC held a meeting on April 2, 2026, where it was decided to reduce the diesel fuel subsidy by 3.51 baht per liter, bringing it down to 14.27 baht per liter. This reduction in subsidy will result in a 3.50 baht per liter increase in the retail price of diesel at gas stations, pushing it to 47.74 baht per liter.

Additionally, the subsidy for biodiesel B20 has been reduced by 3.48 baht per liter, now standing at 16.64 baht per liter. This change will also lead to a 3.50 baht per liter increase in the retail price of biodiesel B20 at gas stations, raising it to 42.74 baht per liter. As for gasoline prices, retailers will be responsible for announcing any changes on their own.
