Dr. Jetsada Defends Mon Thong Youth, Criticizes Political Exploitation

Bangkok: Dr. Jetsada has come to the defense of Mon Thong, urging an end to the attacks on the children involved. He has criticized the actions of influential political entities for tarnishing the image of these young individuals.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Jetsada Tonawanik, the Rak Chart Party's prime ministerial candidate, issued a warning to politicians regarding their election campaign strategies. He emphasized the importance of responsibility from the onset, arguing that those who begin their campaigns irresponsibly are unlikely to govern the country effectively in the future.

Mr. Jetsada expressed his apprehension over the involvement of Mon Thong Witthaya football team's youth players in political campaigns. He described these children as innocent and uninvolved in politics, suggesting they were exploited by adults, local politicians, or influential provincial groups with political agendas. Consequently, the children found themselves victimized and harmed.

He drew a comparison with large sports clubs like Buriram United, which avoid intertwining sports with politics. Mr. Jetsada noted that even minor instances of such political interference invite substantial backlash from opposing information operations (IO).

The message also called upon the IO group to cease their attacks on the youth, who remain oblivious to the political machinations. Instead, the focus should be on the actual perpetrators or politicians responsible. He further stressed the importance of keeping sports and politics separate, advocating for transparency and fairness. Mr. Jetsada highlighted the need for responsible campaigning to ensure future accountability in governance.
