Bangkok: “Dr. Kes” has expressed her readiness to address concerns regarding the examination of her educational qualifications, following the Election Commission’s (EC) indication of two alleged violations. She has confirmed her willingness to cooperate with any further investigations. Additionally, she has addressed concerns about potential collusion with the Senate, asserting that all members, including herself, have acted within legal boundaries. She encouraged the media to verify whether her name appears on the list of those involved in the removal of “Thawee.”
According to Thai News Agency, Dr. Kesakamon Pliansamai, a member of the Senate, discussed the EC’s announcement that further questioning might occur concerning her educational qualifications. She clarified that, to date, no additional inquiries have been made.
In addressing the allegations of violating Section 77 (1) and Section 77 (4) related to misleading others, Dr. Kesakamon stated that she has not been formally charged but has responded to the EC’s letter of inquiry.
Dr. Kesakamon further expressed her confidence in the fairness of the seven EC members and her readiness to present evidence if called for questioning. She reiterated her lack of concern over any potential investigations by the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) and their impact on the Senate’s operations.
Regarding societal concerns about the origins of the senators and potential collusion or money laundering, Dr. Kesakamon emphasized the legality and propriety of the Senate’s actions. She urged the public to support the senators, who are committed to serving the people in accordance with the law.
Addressing speculation about political party investors behind some senators, Dr. Kesakamon denied any such affiliations within her group and reaffirmed their adherence to legal standards. She called for public understanding and encouragement.
Finally, she spoke about the ongoing legal discussions involving the DSI and the Senate, noting the group’s confidence in the justice process. She briefly mentioned the complaint filed by over 100 senators against Pol. Col. Thawee Sodsong with the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), asserting their compliance with legal procedures and readiness for investigation. Dr. Kesakamon invited the media to investigate whether her name is included among those being scrutinized.
