Ekniti Nitithanprapas Declares Assets Worth 207.7 Million Baht

Bangkok: The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) has released the asset declaration of Ekniti Nitithanprapas, revealing a total worth of 207.7 million baht. This declaration comes as Mr. Ekniti assumes the roles of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance in Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul's government. According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Ekniti and his spouse, Mrs. Roikaew, reported total assets of 207,789,386 baht against liabilities amounting to 1,905,850 baht. Mr. Ekniti's personal assets comprise 163,861,913 baht, including bank deposits of 17,995,542 baht and investments in various financial instruments totaling 119,667,780 baht. His real estate assets include three plots of land and two buildings in Bangkok and Kanchanaburi, valued at 16,673,095 baht and 7,580,496 baht, respectively. He also owns two cars valued at 150,000 baht and other assets like watches worth 1,750,000 baht. His liabilities include a loan from the Government Housing Bank, with an outstanding balance of 1,905,850 baht as of Sept ember 24, 2025. Mr. Ekniti's estimated annual income is 51,314,874 baht, derived from various sources such as a 1,678,517 baht salary, 16,215,637 baht in director's compensation, and 400,000 baht in meeting allowances. Additional income includes 3 million baht in interest and dividends, 1.8 million baht from car sales, 18.5 million baht from securities sales, and 9,720,718 baht in gifts from parents. His annual expenses are approximately 18.1 million baht, covering personal expenses, insurance, social activities, housing mortgage, medical, parental support, travel, and donations. Mrs. Roikaew declared assets totaling 43,972,473 baht, with bank deposits of 11,618,827 baht and investments in funds amounting to 15,689,725 baht. Her assets also include two plots of land and a building in Bangkok, two cars, and personal items such as jewelry. She reported an annual income of 11,622,131 baht from salary, interest, securities sales, and parental gifts, with expenses around 5.45 million baht. Reporters noted that the NACC had previously disclosed Mr. Ekniti's assets during his tenure as Director-General of the Revenue Department, with declarations required every three years. On June 12, 2024, Mr. Ekniti and Mrs. Roikaew's assets totaled 159,791,606 baht, with liabilities of 2,003,119 baht. Since then, their assets have increased by 47,997,780 baht, while liabilities decreased by 97,269 baht.
