Election Commission of Thailand Confirms Yellow Ballot for Constitutional Referendum

Bangkok: The Election Commission of Thailand has clarified that the actual ballot for the upcoming constitutional referendum, set to take place on February 8th, will be yellow. This announcement aims to eliminate any confusion among voters regarding the color of the ballot.

According to Thai News Agency, the Election Commission (EC) has been actively distributing documents and information about the referendum to every household. This initiative is intended to help eligible voters familiarize themselves with the new constitution. The EC has emphasized that the referendum will occur from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on the appointed day.

Reporters have noted that there was initial confusion due to a discrepancy in the informational materials sent to voters. The sample image of the referendum ballot in the distributed manual was blue. The EC has now clarified this issue, ensuring that the public is aware that the actual ballot voters will use in the referendum is yellow.
