Factory Wall Collapse Damages Cars and Injures Employee in Chonburi

Chonburi: A wall of a factory building in the Amata City Industrial Estate, Phan Thong District, Chonburi Province, collapsed onto seven parked cars, causing damage and slightly injuring one employee.

According to Thai News Agency, the incident involved an extension wall on the second floor of the building, which fell and damaged the cars parked nearby. One female employee sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital by the company for treatment.

Employees at the factory reported hearing a loud booming sound, initially mistaking it for thunder, before realizing the wall had collapsed. The affected building is located directly beneath the Human Resources department, an area not typically occupied for sleeping.

The director of Phan Thong Police Station confirmed that only minor injuries were reported. The company's engineers have assessed the scene, and with the company's insurance in place, the expectation is that there will be no significant issues. An evaluation of the damage to both the building and the vehicles is underway to facilitate legal compensation.
