Bangkok: The family is preparing the venue for Sergeant Rerng's funeral, who sacrificed his life on Hill 350.
According to Thai News Agency, the family is setting up tents and preparing the funeral site at the home of Sergeant Major Samroeng Klangprakhon in Prakhon Chai District, Buriram Province. The atmosphere was filled with sorrow as they mourned their loss.
Mrs. Aun, 79, the mother of Sergeant Rerng, expressed that although her heart is broken and she is deeply saddened, she finds pride in her son's dedication to his duty as a soldier protecting Thailand. Sergeant Rerng's sister shared that he volunteered to join the army with the intention of serving the nation in high-risk areas like the South and was proud to fight on the border. His last phone call conveyed his achievement of capturing Ta Kwai Castle and his determination to achieve his next target, Hill 350.
