Maranello: Ferrari, the renowned Formula One team, has announced a new long-term contract extension with its Monegasque driver, Charles Leclerc, stating that he will continue to compete for the team "in the coming seasons."
According to Thai News Agency, Charles Leclerc joined the Scuderia Ferrari team in 2019 after making his F1 debut with Sauber in 2018, following his success in Formula 2 in 2017. Throughout his time with Ferrari, the 28-year-old driver created many memorable moments for the team, including victories at Monza in 2019 and 2024, as well as the impressive win at his home circuit, the Monaco Grand Prix in 2024.
Regarding the contract duration, motorsport media outlet PlanetF1 reports that Leclerc's new contract could extend beyond 2030.
